BraziL-2 vs FranCe-1 ....my predict
Today the reigning world champions Brazil gained their pass as did the 1998 winners France and the teams will meet on Saturday in Frankfurt. Before then the football world pauses for breath after 19 frenetic, fascinating days. What lies ahead is truly something to savour.
Brazil advanced by removing Ghana, the last African representatives in the competition, with a 3-0 win in Dortmund. For a side apparently still to reach their form, they are ticking over quite effectively and have scored as many goals (ten) as any of the other teams whose hopes remain intact. One of their trio in Dortmund came from Ronaldo, putting him out in front as the competition’s all-time leading scorer with 15 goals, one more than the great Gerd Muller.

What did you think of the game?
The match was difficult, but at the end of the day luck was on our side. It went quite well in the end. I’d love Italy to lift the trophy at the end of the tournament. For me that would be the utmost. I’d just love to see it come back home. There’s already a lot of Italy in that sculpture, but it would be very satisfying if the Azzurri were to win it again.
